Camping IN Normandy
In 2019, we will celebrate, in Normandy, the 75th Anniversary of the D-Day Landing, the D-DAY and the Battle of Normandy in the presence of the Heads of State of the whole world and the Veterans of the Second World War. Many events will be part of the program in our region.
La Manche, department charged with history is a place of memory. On June 6, 1944, during the Second World War, more than 150,000 soldiers land on the beaches. 133,000 by sea and 23,000 by air, including 13,000 American paratroopers on Utah and 10,000 British between Orne and Dives. Then begins the Battle of Normandy.
Fancy finding out more about the history of France? We are only about an hour from the D-Day landing beaches: Utah Beach and Omaha Beach, Sword Beach, Gold Beach, Juno Beach.
